St. Saviour's is facing a financial crisis that threatens the work of the congregation and its outreach programs.
For the past year, our office building at Bīskapa gāte 2 in the Old Town has been empty since our tenant declared bankruptcy. The property was once a source of revenue, but now the empty building has become a financial burden as the congregation struggles to pay last winter's heating bills, as well as property taxes.
The work of our church is very much needed in the community. Dozens of people who regularly attend the soup kitchen and seniors program depend on our help.
